Purpose: Dissolves and carries water-soluble ingredients.
Aqua is the INCI name for purified water. It forms the main water phase of many serums, lotions and moisturisers and provides the medium in which water-soluble ingredients can be dissolved and evenly distributed.
Water also contributes directly to the texture and consistency of an emulsion or water-based serum.
