Citric Acid

Category: pH adjuster

Purpose: Adjusts and maintains the pH of a formulation.

Find it in: Endless Moisturiser, Timeless Moisturiser, Hydrate Moisture Serum

Citric acid is an organic acid used in skincare formulations primarily to adjust pH.

Maintaining the intended pH helps keep a formula stable and can be important for the performance of other ingredients and the preservation system. Although citric acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), its presence in a formula does not necessarily mean the product is exfoliating; that depends on its concentration, pH and the finished formulation.
